Dear Laney,
I had a great first Mother's Day.
Peg Peg and Tex sent me a gift card to Outback Steakhouse as a Mother's Day gift, and Grandma Sue came over and played with you so your dad and I could go into town and enjoy a special dinner. I know it seems counterintuitive to celebrate Mother's Day without you, but
thems the breaks, kid.
When we came home, we said bye to Grandma Sue and you and Dad got on the couch to watch a movie. You got to choose, of course. And then ten minutes later, you were both asleep. Mother's Day is apparently exhausting.
Also today, someone converted the "M" above the University of Montana into "Mom," which I thought was a nice touch.
