Dear Laney,
Every Sunday at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery, they start the service with a hymn that begins, "I believe in miracles / I've seen a soul set free!..."
For the first time in your life this afternoon, you sat still long enough for me to put your hair up in rubber bands.
So, I'm going to call Granny Jack and tell her to tell the choir director to change the lyrics for this week's service to "I believe in miracles / Pigtails on Laney Lee!..."
..Because "Eternal Salvation" and "Doing a Toddler's Hair" both belong on a list of Things You Have To Work To Achieve.
